James Milaras and Reuben Nutt are Australian cardists and photographers. Making playing card reviews for Art of Play, they decided to create their own deck of playing cards. They have been working on the project for the last 6 months. Every element in this deck is custom. The back design will be one way. The design depicts various symbolic images that tie into larger metaphors – metaphors of life, mortality, thievery, lies, deceit, power, struggle, hurt, love. Its custom tuck case will have amazing foil coverage, embossing, a printed interior, and a custom seal. This deck has its own story. It will be revealed further when the Kickstarter campaign goes live. The deck is planned to be printed by the Expert Playing Card Company (EPPC). |
