Waddingtons: The Simpsons Playing Cards by Winning Moves

This is another deck produced by Winning Moves UK Ltd. under the trademark Waddingtons in 2011. The deck is dedicated to the famous American adult animated sitcom The Simpsons.

The_Simpsons_Family_Picture The Simpsons was created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical parody of a middle class American lifestyle epitomized by its family of the same name, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture, society, television and many aspects of the human condition.

The debut of this sitcom was on December 17, 1989. The Simpsons is the longest-running American sitcom. The show has broadcast 528 episodes and the twenty-fourth season ended on May 19, 2013. It has won dozens of awards since it debuted as a series (27 Primetime Emmy Awards, 30 Annie Awards and a Peabody Award). This family was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as Matt Groening himself.

It is funny but Homer’s exclamatory catchphrase “D’oh!” as a spoken word is a sound trademark of 20th Century Fox and it was even included in the Oxford English Dictionary in 2001.

The deck: 52 playing cards (all different) + 2 different Jokers + 2 Ad cards. Bridge size. The deck is printed on casino cardboard with smooth finish.

Playing cards by Matt Busch

Matt Busch (born 1972) is an American artist. He had graduated from Macomb with an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic and Commercial Art in 1993. He also joined the Los AngelesArtAcademy and received a Bachelor Degree from the Art Center College of Design.

Matt lived in Los Angeles and worked on Hollywood in ’90s. Later he moved in Northern Detroit area and founded his own company Planetmatt Entertainment. Matt continues to work on Hollywood projects but also he has his own projects (filmmaking, comics and art).

This deck of playing cards is 54 iconic Pop culture images from the “Rock Star of Illustration”. It concludes 54 different Busch’s artworks.

The deck: 52 playing cards + 2 Jokers. Poker size. Playing cards are printed on casino cardboard with semi-smooth glossy finish (laminated).

Playing Cards and Serials: “Fraggle Rock” Playing Cards

There were a Fraggle Rock party down at The Spare Room dedicated to celebration of the 30th anniversary of Jim Henson’s beloved singing Fraggles from the 80s. Fraggle Rock started in January 10, 1983.

Fraggle Rock = 96 children’s live action puppet television series, 100 original songs, and millions of fans from around the world.

The Spare Room and Henson have come together to create a limited edition deck of Fraggle Rock playing cards printed by the US Playing Card Company. Featuring all favourite Fraggles from a fun-loving group of furry subterranean creatures in fine form, plus recipes and other words of wisdom from The Spare Room.
