Kristian Olson is an American illustrator, designer and fine artist living in Los Angeles, California. He has unusual and exuberant style based on years of experimentation with both digital and traditional media. These are several Olson’s artworks inspired by playing cards. Some of his artworks were included in Ultimate Deck by Stranger and Stranger.

Typographic Playing Cards: Hat-Trick Deck
These nice Hat-Trick typographic playing cards were designed by Jim Sutherland from Hat-Trick design (UK). Jim made 50 copies of the deck for friends and colleagues (first edition). This is the second limited edition – 1000 copies were produced.
The deck: 52 different playing cards + 2 different Jokers + 1 information card (sketches) + 1 ad card. Bridge size. Playing cards printed on solid cardboard and have a smooth finish (plastic coated). This deck has very interesting plastic coating. It is the same for cards and the box. You can find such coating on covers of some modern books. It makes cards quite stiff. Playing cards are pleasant by touch.
