Fournier: Alice in Wonderland Playing Cards

These playing cards were printed by Fournier (Spain) in 2010. They are dedicated to Burton’s filming of the famous Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (pseudonym Lewis Carroll) was an English author who wrote the novel in 1865. Playing cards are among heroes of this novel. That is why it became quite popular for designing different custom decks (Nicole’s Alice in Wonderland deck, Bicycle The White Rabbit deck).

Timothy Walter “Tim” Burton is an American film director, film producer, artist, writer and animator. He has his own specific style of horror and fantasy movies. As a rule his films are full of dark, gothic, macabre and quirky elements. So Tim’s Alice in Wonderland (2010) happened to be a quite unique interpretation of the novel supported by Walt Disney Pictures and some other companies.

The deck: 52 different playing cards + 3 Jokers + 1 ad card. Poker size. Playing cards are printed on casino cardboard and have a smooth finish. The box has Fournier’s traditional design.

Kickstarter: Alice of Wonderland Playing Cards by Juan Solorzano

“I’m making a major update about sending out the rewards. I recently gained new employment that is stable and was desperately needed. Now that I am gainfully employed, I can afford to ship more decks out. I have already sent a few and more will go out.

My first paycheck is this weekend, so a few more decks will be shipped. As I get paid every 2 weeks, I will increase the amount of decks. Those that are recieving them I would appreciate any comments that you have as soon as you get them. Some have recieved their decks recently, I would appreciate your comments as well.

I do want to avoid any legal action and just get these items shipped to everyone. Do you agree? Again, I just started working at a professional job that will enable me to ship everything out. Thank you.

Also, if your address has changed, please let me know and I will update your address on Backerkit.” ~ Juan Solorzano

These playing cards are inspired by Lewis Carroll’s legendary Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the Steampunk genre. The deck is designed by Juan Solorzano. It is planned to be printed by USPCC.

Alice in Wonderland Playing Cards by Nicole Jackson

“This charming deck of playing cards is “Alice in Wonderland” themed and features illustrations drawn by John Teniel from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” by Lewis Carroll. Each illustration was then digitally painted by me and placed on lovely coffee backgrounds (also painted by me). Each letter/number features a different image from the books. (15 different images total including the back of the cards.) The symbols for the club, spade, heart and diamond were designed by me.

Each deck is professionally printed, contains 54 cards (A-K plus two jokers) and comes in a clear plastic box. The cards are hard to crease industry quality bendable card, same as what casinos use.

I try my best to match the colors shown on the screen to the actual colors of the cards but because every screen is different the colors shown may vary slightly from the actual colors of the cards.” ~ Nicole Jackson

Hatter M Deck of Cards

A Hatter M: The Looking Glass Wars themed deck (with a Wonderland twist) of playing cards designed by Frank Beddor. © 2012 Automatic Pictures, Inc.

The Royal Hierarchy of the Wonderland Deck

To the horror of the Jack of Diamonds this deck contains not a single Jack! Jacks have been banished with the Princess cards taking their place in the Queendom’s triumvirate of royal cards. Power rankings are unique to Wonderland’s matriarchal rule as well, with the Queen being top card, the Princess top card in-waiting and the King, though third in power for the deck, ranking below the Queen and Princess cards. You may play any of your favorite card games with this deck and use the Princess card as a Jack along with the status quo point rankings or you can use your Imagination and give a Wonderland twist to your competitions.

Jokers are Lewis Carroll.

Redd Alert! – These cards have become extremely popular due to a printing error – the Jack of Diamonds has found his way onto the outside of the tuck box! Rest assured, only Princesses, not Jacks, adorn the cards inside. Future print runs will have this error corrected, thus making this set a limited edition!

The deck: 52 playing cards + 2 Jokers, 1 infromation card. It comes with a printed tuck case.
