Kristian Olson is an American illustrator, designer and fine artist living in Los Angeles, California. He has unusual and exuberant style based on years of experimentation with both digital and traditional media. These are several Olson’s artworks inspired by playing cards. Some of his artworks were included in Ultimate Deck by Stranger and Stranger.

DeviantART: The Fool of the World Playing Cards by Emily J Sampson

Several playing cards designed by the American artist, Emily J. Sampson (EJSCreations), as a project. This is a very interesting variation of symmetry in court cards. Such court cards can be nice for transformation decks.

The idea of the project was to design four playing cards on the basis of some fairy- or folk tale. She chose the Russian folk tale “The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship” (“Летучий корабль”).

The King of Hearts is the Tsar who had to swallow his pride.

Bēhance: The King of Hearts (KISS) by Matty Watson

Gig poster for KISS designed by Matty Watson as The King of Hearts. KISS is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. It’s well known for its members’ face paint and stage outfits. KISS rose to prominence in the mid to late 1970s with their elaborate live performances.
