Bēhance: Playing Cards by Lizzie Harrison

Lizzie Harrison is an artist from New Zealand. She was ordered four playing cards for a game of snap. The cards had to be connected with the word Lethiferous which had the definition – Deadly; bringing death or destruction. Lizzie visually interpreted the meaning of the word by creation of the four cards.

Playing Card Art: Retro Cartoon Playing Cards by Amanda Enneking

Retro Cartoon playing cards were designed by Amanda Enneking for Boomerang – Cartoon Network in 2011.  Inspiration came from various cartoons (the Inspector, Bullwinkle, the Jetsons, etc.) of the 1960s and 1970s. She changed suits – used a boomerang for spades which was a common background element to Boomerang’s titles in the 60s. The club morphed into the flower, representing the social aspect of “flower power” during that time. © 2011 Amanda Enneking
