These animals are at war… This is a set of Playing Cards showing four animal factions, personified as the Court of each Suit. Brett Dudo in collaboration with Anita Birgány (handled the wildlife) and Eleanor Lutz (designed the unusual and very interesting back design) created a concept of this deck. This poker deck is planned to be printed by USPCC.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890 – 1937) was an American author of horror, fantasy, poetry and science fiction, especially the subgenre known as weird fiction. Lovecraft is the originator of the Cthulhu Mythos story cycle which created a new shared fictional universe (a fictional universe to which more than one writer contributes).
The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society (HPLHS) is the organization that hosts Cthulhu Lives!. It is a group of live-action roleplayers for the Cthulhu Live. Cthulhu Live itself is a live-action roleplaying game version of the popular horror roleplaying game Call of Cthulhu based on the works of H. P. Lovecraft. HPLHS was founded in Colorado (now it is based in California) in 1984.
The Society also produces a number of Cthulhu Mythos films and sound recordings under its Mythoscope and Mythophone labels. Additionally HPLHS produces different merchandise based on the Cthulhu Mythos theme including the deck of playing cards.
