Aurum is designed by Paul Carpenter (printed by USPCC) to be intricate, elegant and fit for the Venetian royalty that inspired it. Every card is intricately designed and features multiple metallic inks and was also carefully crafted to be “purposefully imperfect.” The court figures are all based on the familiar Bicycle court but were painstakingly redrawn to have many subtle imperfections and asymmetric features.
There are three editions of Aurum Playing Cards:
“This is the purple “Sovereign” edition of Aurum. 4,500 of these decks were made. The sumptuous royal purple tuck box features incredibly intricate gold foiling, metallic inks and embossing as well as a custom diecut that allows you a glimpse inside to the special gold ad card within [this card is underneath of other playing cards of the deck and hides purple backs of them – you see it in that cut-out element on the back of the box]. Not just a simple box, the die cut is made to mirror the overall theme of the deck, with its arabesque motifs.” ~ Encarded
Poker size. The deck: 52 playing cards + 2 Jokers + 1 double backer card + 1 gold cover card.
- Aurum – White Gold Edition
“This is the special edition “White Gold” edition of Aurum. Only 500 of these decks are publicly available. The luxurious pearlescent paper shimmers both white and gold depending on the light and features incredibly intricate gold foiling, metallic inks and embossing.
Each deck will feature a custom holographic seal with an individual number.” ~ Encarded
All cards are the same – only tuck cases are different (+ a custom holographic seal).
- Aurum – Laser Cut Edition
«Only 90 of the special edition “Laser Cut” version of Aurum will be publicly available.
The luxurious pearlescent paper shimmers both white and gold depending on the light and features incredibly intricate gold foiling, metallic inks and embossing.
